Frequently asked questions
Can I watch my dog during daycare?
Yes, all daycare rooms are equipped with cameras. You can watch your dog on your smartphone by downloading The Dog Stop app, or view on a computer through the facility's website.
What vaccinations and preventatives are required for boarding and daycare?
Dogs must have current Bordetella, Parvovirus & Distemper, and Rabies vaccinations. Puppies must have all three distemper boosters. Dogs must also be on a regular flea and tick prevention program such as Frontline, Advantage, or wearing a Seresto Collar. Dogs over seven months must be spayed or neutered to participate in daycare.
What if my dog doesn't get along with other dogs?
During your dog's first day and/or first overnight stay, The Dog Stop evaluates your dog's social skills. If your dog isn't an appropriate fit for group daycare, they will be separated from other dogs and receive regular one-on-one staff time, potty breaks, and play sessions.
