Find My Kennel is built on open data we own and re-verify monthly. Here's exactly where every record comes from, the licenses we honor, and how to fix anything that's wrong.
Where the base data comes from
The base location records — a place's name, address, and coordinates — are sourced from Overture Maps, which incorporates OpenStreetMap data (© OpenStreetMap contributors), available under the Open Database License (ODbL). Geography and population context come from the U.S. Census Bureau (public domain). The maps use OpenStreetMap-derived vector tiles served by OpenFreeMap, credited on every map.
How we keep it accurate
We don't republish a one-time scrape. We own a clean, deduplicated dataset that's re-synced and re-verified every month. Self-serve dog wash listings are confirmed from each operator's own website, and prices, hours, and amenities are extracted from those listings — not crowdsourced guesses. A car wash never ends up on a dog-wash page.
Prices & accuracy
Prices and terms are collected from operator listings and may change at any time. Where a facility doesn't publish a price, we say so rather than guess. Always call ahead to confirm current rates, hours, and availability before you drive.
Corrections
Found something wrong — a closed location, a stale price, a missing wash? Tell us and we'll fix it in the next monthly verification.
