Terms of use

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you're under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you. One person per account; keep your sign-in details to yourself, and you're responsible for what happens under your account.

Listings come from open data, businesses' own websites, and people like you (see Sources & licenses). We re-check them every month, but prices, hours, services, and even whether a place is open can be wrong or out of date. Call ahead before you go. A listing is not an endorsement: we don't inspect, license, or vouch for any business, and your dealings with a business are between you and them. Reviews and posts reflect their authors' views, not ours.

You own what you post: photos, reviews, board posts, replies, comments, tips, pet profiles, messages, and place submissions. By posting it, you give FGA Labs a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, adapt (for example, resize a photo), and distribute it in order to run and promote Find My Kennel. For place submissions and corrections, that license is perpetual, because accepted facts become part of the directory. For everything else, it ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared by others or kept as required by law.

You confirm you have the right to post what you post (for photos, that you took them or have permission) and that it follows these terms.

Don't post or send anything that is:

• harassing, threatening, hateful, or abusive toward anyone;
• sexually explicit, violent, or gory;
• promoting animal cruelty, or illegal sale of animals;
• spam, advertising, or fake reviews (including reviews of your own business or a competitor's);
• impersonating a person or business, or misleading about who you are;
• someone else's private information, or content you don't have rights to;
• illegal, or encouraging something illegal.

Also don't scrape or bulk-download the service, try to break or overload it, get around its access controls or a block, or use it to build a competing directory. The open data behind listings is available from its original sources under their own licenses.

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You can report any post, photo, profile, or message, and block any user. Reports go to us, and we aim to act on them within 24 hours. Photos are reviewed before they're published; other posts and messages are not pre-screened, so reporting is how we find problems.

We may remove any content, and suspend or terminate any account, that breaks these terms or that we reasonably believe harms people, animals, or the service. Where appropriate we'll remove the content and ban the user who posted it. You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

The service is free. We may change, add, or remove features, or stop offering the service. The Find My Kennel name, design, and our original writing are ours; the listing data is under the open licenses described on Sources & licenses.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing on Find My Kennel is veterinary advice; for your pet's health, talk to a veterinarian. In an emergency, call your nearest emergency vet directly.

To the fullest extent the law allows, FGA Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service, from any listing, or from any business, user, or content you find through it. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to US $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

You agree to cover FGA Labs for claims and costs that arise from content you post or from your breaking these terms.

If you got the app from Apple's App Store or Google Play, these terms are between you and FGA Labs, not Apple or Google, and we, not they, are responsible for the app and its support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the app must also follow the store's own terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Utah, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for meaningful changes we'll give notice on the site or in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. Questions or reports: kyle@findmykennel.com.
